Description
1st All-Women Spacewalk Christina Koch & Jessica MeirExpedition 61 is the 61st Expedition to the International Space Station, scheduled to begin in late 2019 with the undocking of the Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft. The Expedition will be commanded by ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, who will become the third European and first Italian astronaut to command the ISS. Parmitano, along with Soyuz MS-13 colleagues Aleksandr Skvortsov, Andrew Morgan and Christina Koch will transfer over from Expedition 60. They will be joined by Oleg Skripochka and Jessica Meir, who will launch in September 2019 on board Soyuz MS-15.
