Pilot Roger B. Chaffee, Command Pilot Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom, Senior Pilot Edward H. White II. Apollo 1 was the first manned mission of the United State's lunar landing program.The mission tragically ended after a cabin fire during a launch test killed the crew and destroyed the command module.
